Children have enjoyed gymnastics this term and have been working together to perform their sequences.
South Sefton Indoor Athletics Competition
31/1/14
Children particapted in a range of athletics events which involved, running, jumping, rolling, throwing, even over and under.
Children gave an outstanding performance and gained 542 points and claimed the winners of the 2014 competition.

Sefton School Cross Country Competition took place at Crosby Leisure Centre .
Girls Basketball
Runners Up
The girls’ basketball team gave a fantastic effort at the South Sefton Competition.
During the morning, children were involved in skills and drills. This gave children an opportunity to practice their skills before taking part in the afternoon’s competition.
Girls got through to the final. It was a tense game and with the result ending 4-4 against St. Monica’s Primary School and taking the game to Penalty Shoot Outs.
Unfortunately we got beat on penalty shoot outs by 1 basket. The girls gave a fantastic performance and showed their passion and determination.

Hillside Multi-Sports Competition
Year 6 children were invited to Hillside High school to compete in 3 sports against Bedford Primary school.
Children took part in Badminton, Indoor Athletics and Basketball skills and drills which were lead by sports leaders from Year 10 and 11.
Children then finished off activity sessions with a competitive game.

Sports Premium Fund
We have currently received £9756 to enhance our PE provision in school.
The money will be used towards offering more extra curricular activities, including new sports which will be introduced in the spring term.
We are also trying to enhance competition in school and hope to attend more school partnership competitions throughout the year.
We want to encourage all of our children to have a healthy and active lifestyle.
