Christ Church CofE Primary School

together we can...

Wellbeing & Distinctiveness

Our vision as a Church of England Primary school is to nurture a sense of 'Together We Can' through our Christian values of Friendship, Thankfulness, Peace, Trust, Forgiveness, Compassion and Hope. Within our school community, each individual member is valued, respected and encouraged to be the best version of themselves. Through a holistic approach, we aim to deliver a rich curriculum - with a clear progression of skills - that promotes healthy minds and bodies within the community.

Our distinctiveness team works collaboratively to provide the best experiences in Religious Education, Physical Education and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education.

Faculty Ambassadors

Our Faculty Ambassadors play an important role in enabling children at Christ Church to voice their thoughts and opinions about the subjects within their faculty. Our Ambassadors are model pupils who set high standards with regards to behaviour and learning and have a real passion for the subjects within their faculty. These children are chosen to help pupils and teachers at Christ Church to build on the faculty’s strengths and help the faculty move forward.

Here are some of the roles of Faculty Ambassador;

  • To help organise any subject specific events that we have in school e.g. Arts week.
  • To carry out pupil voice conferences with children from EYFS- Year 6.
  • To provide feedback on particular subjects and lessons in order to improve the teaching of the subjects within the faculty.
  • To share any subject specific news to their peers e.g. through assemblies etc.
  • To help subject leaders make resources for their faculty subjects e.g. vocabulary quizzes for starters/ plenaries.
  • To promote the subjects within the faculty and always be a good role model within lessons.
