At Christ Church, we follow the Maths — No Problem! approach to teaching mathematics. Our calculation policy supports this approach by outlining how children develop their understanding of the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Through carefully sequenced teaching, children develop their mathematical understanding using the Concrete, Pictorial and Abstract (CPA) approach.
