In Year 4, we have really enjoyed reading ‘The Unforgotten Coat’ by Frank Cottrell Boyce. As a follow up to this we visited Freshfield to see some of the sights from the book.
We travelled by train and walked to the pinewoods. When we arrived, we met our guide Kate who talked to us about the red squirrels. Luckily, we saw lots of them!
We played lots of games and pretended to be squirrels, hiding food and building drays. After we had completed the activities, we had lunch and then travelled back to school.
