Christ Church CofE Primary School

together we can...

Collective Worship

At Christ Church Primary School we think it is very important to live out our Christian ethos in everything that we do.

Keeping Christ at the centre of Christ Church.

We focus on the core values of; Friendship, Thankfulness, Peace, Trust, Forgiveness, Compassion and Hope.

Every year group is allocated a value which they study in detail throughout the school year. They focus on bible stories and hymns around their value as well as thinking about how we can live out the value in our daily lives. They work hard to produce beautiful artwork and prayers to be used and displayed in our classrooms and corridors as reminders of the importance of our christian values.

At Christ Church, our children participate in a daily act of worship. These come in a range of forms including; whole school assemblies, Key Stage assemblies, phase group assemblies, hymn practices, celebration assemblies, clergy led assemblies and class collective worship.

Each term we welcome parents, carers and guardians to join us in school for our termly Eucharist service led by members of our church clergy and pupils from Year 6. We also invite all our friends and families to join us at Christ Church Church for our end of term services three times a year.

Rend Collective have become one of our favourite worship bands to sing with. We were delighted when they favourited this video of us singing My Lighthouse on Twitter.
