Our Church

As a Church of England School, we have strong links with our local church, Christ Church Bootle. There are many ways in which these links are formed including; weekly clergy led worship in school, termly end of term services at church, termly Eucharist services in school, Harvest, Christmas and Easter services in school as well as church Christingle and carol services at church. Our children also visit church to help with their RE curriculum lessons at different points in their school life. Year 1 visit to learn about baptism, Year 2 visit to find out more about items in the church and Year 5 visit to learn about Eucharist.

At Christ Church, we value the importance of giving our children experiences that allow them to deepen their faith and understanding of Christianity further. Working in partnership with our church, we offer children the opportunities to develop their spiritual understanding and Christian journey. Children in Year 4 are invited to take up our preparation of Holy Communion before Confirmation course and children in Year 5 and 6 are also given the opportunity to participate in our Confirmation course led by Rev. Williams.

Bishop Chris Edmondson First Communion Service

Every year our children are invited to visit Christ Church Church to take part in and sing during some special services. These include; the church’s birthday, Lord Mayor’s Civic Service and Christmas Carol Service.
