Year 4 had a great day out to Freshfield on the 12th June. We all walked down to The Strand station and got the train to Freshfield station. A walk up Victoria Road looking at all the big houses and we were there. Mike our guide for the day took us around different sections of the Nation Trust area. In the pinewoods we were very lucky to see a couple of red squirrels. We also visited the sand dunes and got windswept on the beach.
The children had a great day looking at different habitats in the area, and as always they were a pleasure to be with and were all excellent examples of how a Christ Church pupil behaves.
For the second week in succession 4N have been the Attendance Class of the Week.
Well done and lets keep it going for the rest of this final Summer Term.
4N has not missed a day of doing a Mile-a-Day since the school introduced the idea. The children are keen and eager to get out and do their mile everyday. When the weather has been especially unkind, we have completed the mile in one of the two school halls.
100% Attendance Award.
The children were set an attendance challenge to see if they could have a 100% attendance over two weeks leading up to Easter. The children that achieved this were rewarded with a film morning and a goodie bag whilst watching the film. 4N children had 100% of children with 100% attendance!
Easter Experience Journey
We learnt about the journey Jesus took during Holy Week from Palm Sunday until he was Resurrected. Have a look at the photos to follow the story. We visited the church to see their Easter journey display and in school we also had our own Easter journey.
World Book Day 2017
4N along with the rest of the school had a very enjoyable World Book Day. The theme this year was 101 Dalmatians with our very own Cruella Deville!!
The children took part in many exciting activities centred around 101 Dalmatians. This included Puppy Training (PE), Poster Design (English), value of a puppy Dalmatian (maths) and which makes a better pet, a dog or a cat? (P4C)
4N Forgiveness Assembly
In the Spring term, it was 4N's chance to show the rest of the school their class assembly on their class value, Forgiveness. They taught the rest of the school about the Parable of the Prodigal Son and was performed in rhyme. The children were great and Mr Nichols is really proud of their performances! Well done!
The whole school had a day highlighting Healthy Living. This involved eating exotic fruits from around the world, carrying out exercises which you could do in a chair and also Mindfulness.
Silly Scientist Days!
We had two marvellous days being silly scientists and learning lots about science through creative investigations!
