The first visitors we had were a group of Old Bootleians, two of the group came to Christ Church Primary School when it was located in the old school. They talked about their memories of school and their childhood in Bootle. They then told the children of the jobs and work experiences.
The next session involved some parents and the aim was through games based on simple analysis around children's likes and strengths build the pupils' self-esteem.
The Aspiration Project is continuing. The children have just visited Hugh Baird College and were shown the different courses that are available to take at the college, including the art studio and the library (which the children are able to join.)
We have also had three more visitors to the class who talked about their careers, including Matt Ashton the Director of Public Health for Sefton. Who talked about his career and also about adopting a healthy lifestyle.
